"Town & Country's grand opening of our new East Hampton office was a grand success…a good time was had by all," says Judi Desiderio, Town & Country Real Estate founder and CEO.  East Hampton office manager and veteran real estate agent Gene Stilwell wholeheartedly agreed adding, "The champagne was flowing and all had a good time! How nice to share a little time with friends and colleagues toasting our new digs."

The new office, located at 46 Main Street, East Hampton, a few doors up for the former space has high ceilings, a wide expanse of windows showcasing the most spectacular examples of Hamptons real estate, cozy gas fireplace, and plenty of room for all of our East Hampton agents.  The chic aesthetic is accented by design elements including a chrome and wood light fixture in the formal lobby that perfectly matches the hardwood floor.

The grand opening celebration was held Friday, May 6, 2016, to kick off the summer season and over 100 well-wishers came out to raise a glass of Sparkling Point champagne – imported from the North Fork hamlet of Southold, and nibble tasty bites from Cavaniola's Gourmet Cheese Shop in Sag Harbor.  Town & Country Real Estate's founder and CEO Judi Desiderio, managing partners Nancy McGann and Janet Hummel, and the agents in the East Hampton office including William Stoecker, Rick Slater, Kim Slater, Richard Swift, and Hal Zwick, to name a few were in the mix.

"Thanks to all who attended," says Gene. "What a fun night!"

Look Out… Here Comes Audrey II

Thursday, May 12th, 2016

“Little Shop of Horrors,” the devilishly delicious sci-fi  smash musical, will be performed by the young actors of Stages, A Children’s Theatre Workshop helmed by Helen Leonard and her husband Town & Country Real Estate's East Hampton office manager and sales agent Gene Stilwell. The 50’s rock doo-wop musical has devoured the hearts of theatergoers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menkin (Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind one of the longest running Off-Broadway shows of all time.

Little Shop of Horrors follows the misadventures of Seymour, a down and out florist assistant  who becomes an overnight sensation after discovering an exotic plant with a craving for fresh blood. Soon the plant, Audrey II, grows into an R&B singing carnivore who promises Seymour fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite. We soon learn that the plant is an alien planning on world domination. Filled with quirky humor and irresistible songs , this spoof of  50’s sci-fi disaster films has become one of the most popular shows in the world with an Off -Broadway, Broadway and musical movie version .

Bravo to Helene Leonard who directs and choreographs Stages’ production of Little Shop of Horrors.  The show features local young actors and Amanda Jones and James Benard provide the musical accompaniment.

Audrey II, the plant puppet, was designed by Martin P. Robinson, New York City, and constructed by Character Translations, Inc., for Music Theatre International.

All tickets are $15, call 631-725-9500 to order.  The show opens at Bay Street Theater (Bay Street, Sag Harbor) on Saturday, May 14, 2016 with a matinee at 2pm and another show at 7:30pm.  The final show will be Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 2pm.

Town & Country’s Board of Directors and Executive Staff Members

Monday, September 21st, 2015

Town & Country's Board of Directors and executive staff members enjoyed a beautiful luncheon at Duryea’s Dock in Montauk at the Annual Fighting Chance Lobster Bash. Duncan Darrow, Fighting Chance Founder and Chairman greeted everyone.

We all enjoyed our lobsters, chowders and much more, paring this great seafood with two great North Fork wines!

Chip Duryea was honored with a painting by Paul Davis. Chip’s generosity and love of Fighting Chance shone greater than the sunshine!

T&C has been taking our Board of Directors and executive staff members for the past few years… it’s a tradition we will miss since Duryea’s has been sold and will never quite be the same again without Chip.

A good time was had by all!

Judi honored at Manhattan Media’s Privet Hedge Awards Dinner

Friday, May 1st, 2015

Judi Desiderio, President and Chief Executive Office of Town & Country Real Estate, was awarded the prestigious award of “Broker’s Broker" at Manhattan Media's Privet Hedge Awards Dinner last night held at Sebonac Golf Club. This was the 2nd annual Privet Hedge Awards which honors excellence in Hamptons real estate. For Judi to be named "Broker’s Broker" is truly a testament to not only her unyielding success in real estate on the East End, but as well her admiration by colleagues and peers. “I was so surprised to receive the “Broker’s Broker” Privet Hedge Award for Excellence in Real Estate. I’m much more comfortable giving the awards, rather than receiving…When I looked around the room I saw many Brokers whom I’ve worked with in my 34 year tenure. So many talented, experienced, smart real estate professionals.. it was truly an honor. Thank you!” stated Judi afterwards.

With top producers from every real estate firm in the Hamptons present, the evening was fun-filled, full and enjoyed by all. Special thanks to the Manhattan Media, publisher of Avenue, Avenue on the Beach, Behind The Hedges and Dan’s Papers, for hosting such a special celebration in an equally spectacular venue.
